Clear Skin – Witch Oil Control Foaming Face Wash

I’ve posted a few times lately about my skin. I’m always on the look out for a simple, reasonably priced product that will keep my skin looking good (who isn’t?). Well, I think i finally found that product; introducing Witch Oil Control Foaming Face Wash!

I picked up this product about 2 weeks ago and have used it every day. In an effort tot est it out properly I haven’t changed any other products that i use on my face.

The product comes in a pump dispenser which is great for ease of use, and is also very hygienic. Sticking your bacteria covered hands into a pot of product is never going to yield good results. The pump also gives you just the right amount of foam – and there is no need for cotton pads, or anything of the sort. Simply pump into your hand, massage around your face, and rinse.

I have combination skin, and while of course this face wash doesn’t do anything for the drier patches it really had gotten rid of any acne breakouts i had, and hasn’t irritated the drier areas. So, all I’ve needed to do is ensure I’m using a good moisturiser afterwards and hay presto (!) I have clear skin for the first time in 4 months.

I am a happy consumer.

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets – My Review

I was wandering through a local shopping centre this week and was handed a free sample of the new Kleenex Shine Absorbing Sheets which are part of Kleenex’s new expansion into cleansing products (think make up remover wipes and cotton pads).

I don’t usually use this type of product I’ve tried them once or twice and I usually find they leave a powdery residue on my face. Not these! With free sample in hand and about to join friends for sushi I decided to give these a go and after trying them out just once I knew I was heading to buy some. They freshened up my look without removing any make up, and they are totally powder free. Brilliant.

As you can see from the picture they come in a handbag friendly packet of 50 sheets and I found them in the supermarket for £2.99.

I’ll be considering them a beauty staple from now on.

Graze Box Review – and get a free box!

I’m sure I’m the last on the bandwagon with this one – but I recently caved in to the pressure of a freebie offer and got my very first Graze Box. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised.

For those of you that don’t know a Graze Box is basically a 4 part ‘healthy’ snack selection delivered straight to your door, twice weekly, weekly or fortnightly. The boxes can include any of a huge variety of nuts, seeds, dried fruit, bread, and flapjacks dependant on your taste; you just simply indicate your preferences on your account once you have registered.

Box’s look something like this:

In my first box I got a good variety; a nuts selection, brazil nuts a chocolate buttons, rice crackers and the cinnamon flapjack. Of course, one assumes the flapjack was the least healthy and therefore my personal favourite!

Box’s’ cost £3.49 which I think is reasonable since its delivered straight to your house. For me it’s a great way to buy these types of products because MRLB is allergic to nuts and so there is absolutely no point in me buying large bags of them to keep in the house.

The packaging is also eco friendly. Perfect.

If you’re interested in getting yourself one to try you can get you can get your first box absolutely free by using this code: 3P3VMF5

Would love to hear your thoughts!

My hair curling recommendation.

A reader recently asked what I recommend in terms of hair curling tools. Since I have had short hair the last 18 or so months (a short bob) I don’t really curl all that often as it seems like harder work to get it to fall right when your hair is short (of course, celebs rock it, but we can’t all have a hair stylist follow us around with a tin of hairspray).

BUT on the rare occasion I do want to change it up and curl my hair I always reach for the same thing, the Babylis Curling Wand. It’s not your traditional hair curler; there is no clamp and it’s tapered from 13mm to 25mm. Don’t let its unique-ness put you off though.

The reason I love it is because it’s so easy to create different sizes/types of curls with it; anything from full on curls, to a more relaxed wave. All you have to do is wrap your hair nearer to the base, or nearer to the tip for a different size of curl…and with no clamp you’re not left with a weird-looking indent that ruins the natural look of the curls.

The only tricky bit is learning to do it without burning your fingers! It does come with a heat protect glove, and you really should wear this, but I personally find it annoying and restricting. But, if you can look past that, then I think this is the tool for you!

In the UK you can currently pick it up for about £20-25.

Found a better tool? Recommend it to me in the comments.

Ciate Caviar – 3D nails?

Well, hello there readers!

I am currently plowing through the final months of my uni course, and don’t get nearly enough time online *tear*….but, i just saw an update on Ciate facebook about their new Caviar bead 3D nails and had to post.

They’ve posted a few pictures on their page of 3 different colours (Rainbow, mother of pearl, and black pearls). Rainbow below!

What do you all think of this?

You buy the kit (about £18 in the UK) with the polish, the beads, and a funnel and tray (so you don’t loose beads when applying). So, it’s a do it yourself manicure, and much cheaper than you might pay if you had a nail artist do this.

I think it’s a pretty awesome idea, and it looks very cute…but i REALLY can not imagine it staying put on the nails for more than 5 minutes.

Thoughts?
